who are these guys?

Coda Creative Studio is the result of two creative people becoming friends who went their own ways in a variety of creative fields and finally ended up back together to start something fresh, honest, and meaningful in Fredericton.

We could fill this with buzzwords, but ultimately we just care deeply about producing great images that people will love and find use for. That’s it.

Cole
is a multi-disciplinary digital media specialist with a degree in audio engineering. On top of that, he has several years of experience in sales, marketing, photography and event management.

When Cole isn’t producing content or working on a project, you can catch him amongst the local music scene at a show, managing events of his own, or managing local recording artists.

Kevan is a photographer with more than a decade of experience working and living all over Canada with a camera in hand. He was mentored and taught to be a diverse photographer and has experience in every facet of advertising work - covering everything from events, professional sports, food & hospitality, industrial work, architecture, portraits, product photography and travel/tourism photography.

When Kevan isn’t pushing buttons on a camera or computer - you can usually find him doing something outdoors, either on a bike, snowboard, or out hiking with his wife and two kids.

why the name coda?

We bounced a lot of ideas around for a company/brand name - but at the same time didn’t want to over think it and spend too much time with it.

We’re both very motivated and inspired by music and within musical notation, the “coda symbol” - the oval with crosshairs - is used to tell musicians to jump from one particular part in the song to another section, usually as a special ending to a song.

We sort of thought of it in visual terms as a metaphor for ending projects in a special way or on a high note, so to speak.

Similar to how Sony uses the Greek alphabet “α” for their camera line - in Greek, the symbol is used in mathematics, physics and engineering, all of which are elements of photography.
